Designed with tailored guide rails for low-friction travel, it preserves smooth cycle timing while handling high-stress upgrade springs. It is an essential reliability backbone for any upgraded Recoil Shock M4, HK416, or SCAR build.
Tokyo Marui’s Next Generation Recoil Shock series offers incredible realism, but pushing FPS to UK site limits places enormous strain on the factory piston assembly. The reciprocal mass of the recoil weight combined with a stiffer upgrade spring quickly shears the teeth off standard OEM pistons. The LayLax Prometheus Hard Piston (New Ver.2) is engineered specifically to resolve this failure point, delivering reinforced internal strength to keep your TM NGRS gearbox running reliably through thousands of rounds.
Reinforced Polymer Body & Fortified Tooth Rack Manufactured in Japan from a proprietary, high-density reinforced nylon polymer compound, the Prometheus Hard Piston absorbs repeated, violent sector gear impacts without cracking or deforming. The critical first pickup tooth is reinforced with hardened steel, shielding the tooth rack from shearing during high-stress engagement. The remaining polymer teeth are moulded with optimised clearance profiles that distribute force evenly across the stroke, reducing drivetrain drag and motor amp draw.
Reduced Friction & Smooth Rail Interface The outer chassis features precision-moulded guide rails with narrow contact surfaces designed to sit cleanly in TM New Ver.2 gearbox channels. This low-resistance geometry minimises friction along the shell walls, ensuring consistent piston return speed and preventing mid-cycle binding or premature engagement (PME) during rapid semi-auto strings.

The gun will be sprayed 51% in a bright/primary color (we do only blue, green and red currently). The process of two toning currently runs at 2 working days depending on Drying Time, which is effected by Ambient Temperature and Weather. and currently no express delivery is available for this even if you select it at checkout.
